Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is an essential event for Hope Valley U3A and plays a crucial role in the effective running of our organisation. The AGM is a time for members to come together to review the past year’s activities, discuss future plans, and ensure the continued success and sustainability of our Hope Valley u3a.

At the AGM we appoint the officers and committee members for the upcoming year, ensuring strong leadership and fresh perspectives to guide our activities and support our members. We also present and accept our audited accounts, providing transparency and allowing members to understand the financial health of our organisation.

Our next AGM will take place on 25 June 2:00pm at Hathersage Memorial Hall - all members and guests are welcome

Audited Accounts

AUDITED ACCOUNTS

We have £1,588.03  in the current account and £5,077.15 in the new savings account as at 31 Mar 26 making a total of £6,665.18  

INCOME   

Total subscription income = £2,714.75  We also received £833.04 Gift Aid, making a grand total of £3,547.79   

Since last year, we have ensured that membership subscriptions are not collected before the beginning of the financial year.  

We have also opened an interest bearing savings account.  This offsets the monthly bank charges.  

EXPENDITURE   

Total Expenditure = £2,993.68  

Expenditure was slightly higher than last year due to   

  1. Purchase of a replacement for a broken projector which is available for any group to use
  2. Increased capitation - full annual charge of £1 per member to TTATL for Beacon membership database  

We had no additional requests for financial support from any group.
